our services

Expert Surgery, Comprehensive Eye Care

Specialized care for your eyes. Our doctors perform comprehensive eye exams to understand your overall eye health, and identify concerns before they become problematic.

Dr. Rodriguez provides advanced cataract treatment using precision diagnostics, premium lens options, and laser-assisted techniques to help you achieve your best possible vision. Each treatment plan is tailored to your eyes, your lifestyle, and your goals.

From functional eyelid surgery to cosmetic enhancements, Dr. Rodriguez performs upper and lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to improve both vision and appearance. We also offer injectables to refresh your look with natural, balanced results.

We treat glaucoma with leading-edge surgical options designed to lower eye pressure and help preserve your vision. We use minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), focusing on safe, effective techniques that fit seamlessly into your overall eye health plan.

Our in-house optical offers a curated selection of frames and lenses, guided by licensed opticians who help you find the perfect fit and style. Whether you need everyday glasses or a specialty design, we make sure your eyewear works for your vision and your life.

IN-OFFICE SURGERY

No Fasting. No IV.

In-Office Surgical Suite

Elevating the Patient Experience

In-Office Surgery. The team you trust, in the office you already visit.

Delivering excellent results is only part of our promise. How you experience your care is just as important. Elmquist Eye Group proudly offers cataract and eyelid procedures in our accredited, in-office surgical suite. Patients receive hospital-grade safety and outcomes, with the comfort and convenience of a familiar setting.

Our surgical suite meets the same stringent sterility protocols as an ambulatory surgery center, without the rigid scheduling blocks or hospital routines that often prioritize the surgeon over the patient. You’ll benefit from shorter wait times, fewer pre-op restrictions (no fasting, and no IV sedation) and a simplified recovery process, making the experience smoother from start to finish.

It’s a modern surgical model that reflects our commitment to personalized care, safety, and simplicity at every step.

5/5

I'm a chicken when it comes to messing with my eyes but the doctors and staff made me comfortable. Now, with both eyes done with successful cataract lens replacement I'm seeing much better and glad I went through the surprisingly painless procedures. A+ for this team!

5/5

It was my first eye exam in several years (shame on me!) and I was very anxious about it. The Elmquist staff was extremely friendly - perhaps the friendliest doctor's office I have ever been to. Their kindness made me really comfortable. Also, the doctor was excellent.

5/5

Elmquist exceeded my expectations in every way. The receptionists were kind and attentive. The technicians were knowledgeable, and took time to explain what they were doing and what to expect. Dr. Rodriguez was the icing on the cake! She is simply the best! What a great experience, second to none! Bravo!

5/5

The doctors at Elmquist are always professional and friendly. I have been a patient here for 10 years and now my parents, children, and a handful of friends are also patients here. Dr. Wagner diagnosed an eye disease in my son that many other doctors missed. I am incredibly grateful for Elmquist and highly recommend them to all.

5/5

I love Dr. Wagner and the staff at Elmquist. Everyone is friendly and the appointment procedures are always on time. The testing is thorough and I trust any problems would be handled quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What services does Elmquist Eye Group provide?

We offer comprehensive eye care for the entire family, including routine eye exams, medical eye exams for the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, cataract surgery, glaucoma care, macular degeneration management, and a full optical shop for glasses and contact lenses. Our goal is to provide personalized care with the latest technology to protect and improve your vision.

What is the difference between a routine eye exam and a medical eye exam?

A medical exam includes diagnosis and treatment of an eye disease (like glaucoma, conjunctivitis, dry eye or cataracts). A routine eye exam, on the other hand, includes diagnosis and treatment of non-medical complaints, like astigmatism, or farsightedness.

Do I need a referral to see a doctor at Elmquist Eye Group?

In most cases, you do not need a referral to see our ophthalmologists or optometrists. However, some insurance plans require one for specialist visits. If you’re unsure, our team can verify your insurance requirements when you schedule your appointment.

What are the first signs of having cataracts?

At first, the cloudiness in your vision caused by a cataract may affect only a small part of the eye’s lens. You may not notice any vision loss. As the cataract grows larger, it clouds more of your lens. More clouding changes the light passing through the lens. This may lead to symptoms you notice more, such as glare or halos when driving at night and increased sun sensitivity.

Can glaucoma be cured?

Glaucoma symptoms can start so slowly that you may not notice them. That’s why it’s often referred to as the “silent blinder”. The only way to find out if you have glaucoma is to get a comprehensive dilated eye exam. There’s no cure for glaucoma, but early treatment can often stop the damage and protect your vision.
